This presents several challenges in practical use – the biggest one being that opening Velcro fasteners quickly is cumbersome to impossible with thick gloves. Velcro can also wear out quickly, lose strength, and even tear in the long run. This material is significantly more advanced than conventional plastic. Thermoplastic Polyurethane is very flexible without losing its stability.
